Performance-wise, the 17T Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 3nm chipset paired with 12GB of RAM and storage options reaching up to 1TB. The 17T uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra 4nm chipset with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage [1, 2, 4].
Battery capacity is large on both: the 17T Pro houses a 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging, while the 17T includes a 6500mAh battery with 67W wired charging [1, 2, 3, 5]. The 17T Pro weighs about 219 grams, compared to 200 grams for the 17T [2, 5].
The series introduces Leica's Live Moment feature in portrait mode, capturing short dynamic videos with Leica’s signature style [1, 2, 6]. Additional conveniences for Taiwan users include Google Wallet support with iPASS virtual card integration for contactless Taipei metro use on the 17T Pro [2, 5].
In Taiwan, the 17T Pro is available in black, dark blue, and dark purple. The 17T comes in black, blue, and purple [2, 4]. Pricing starts at NT$22,999 for the 17T Pro 12GB+256GB version and NT$17,999 for the 17T 12GB+256GB model. Higher 17T Pro storage options reach up to 1TB priced at NT$27,999 [2, 4].
Xiaomi simultaneously launched related products in Taiwan, including the Mi Band 10 Pro and REDMI Neo over-ear headphones [2, 3]. A Leica Moment Studio experience event ran in Taipei from May 29 to 31 to showcase the new phones’ features [2, 3]. From June 1, FarEasTone Telecom will exclusively sell the 17T Pro 12GB+512GB version in Taiwan [6].
