IJM Land Bhd, a subsidiary of IJM Corp Bhd, is partnering with MRT Corp Sdn Bhd to develop The Linque, a transit-oriented project beside the MRT Cochrane station in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur [1, 2]. The project has an estimated gross development value of RM600 million and will feature about 586 serviced apartment units alongside retail spaces [1, 2].
The development will include a direct basement-to-concourse passenger lift connecting residents to the MRT station, eliminating the need to step outdoors. MRT Corp CEO Datuk Mohd Zarif Hashim called this "a first-of-its-kind feature for an MRT-integrated residential development, allowing residents to access the rail network conveniently without needing to step outdoors" [1, 2]. He also said MRT Corp was closely involved in the planning and design to align with the wider MRT network objectives, praising IJM Land's understanding of the site's potential and commitment to supporting the multi-corporate vision [1].
Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the project "reflects the government's commitment to ensuring that strategic public assets are utilised in ways that maximise benefits for the rakyat and the economy" [1]. IJM Land CEO Datuk Tony Ling Thou Lung said the project "reflects our commitment to creating developments that respond to changing lifestyles and future urban needs," emphasizing quality urban living, connectivity, and convenience [1].
The Linque will be directly linked to the MRT Cochrane station through a passenger lift leading to the station's concourse level, making it a rare transit-oriented development in the city [1, 2].
The joint development agreement was signed in December 2025. The development order was submitted on June 10, 2026. The project was officially unveiled at a ceremony on June 15, 2026, attended by key figures including Minister Anthony Loke, MRT Corp CEO Datuk Mohd Zarif Hashim, and IJM Land CEO Datuk Tony Ling Thou Lung [1].
