Malaysia’s 2026 Insolvency Second Chance Policy Roadshow Carnival will begin June 26 in Putrajaya, featuring auctions of high-value assets including an island, a helicopter, a yacht, and luxury cars like Bentley and Audi, Insolvency Department director Mohd Mukhzany Fariz Mohd Mokhtar said [1, 2].

The nationwide carnival will take place across six zones. It starts with the central zone covering Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, and Putrajaya from June 26 to 28. It will then move to Johor and Melaka in July, continue in the northern region (Penang, Kedah, Perlis) in October, proceed to Sabah in November, and conclude in Sarawak in December [1, 2].

The purpose of the auction is to liquidate assets to help bankrupt individuals settle outstanding debts. The Insolvency Department has gathered assets from all over Malaysia, with the highest-value items—including the island—coming from Sabah [1, 2]. Mohd Mukhzany Fariz said, "We have gathered assets from all over Malaysia. So far in Sabah, there will be an island up for auction. We also have a helicopter and a yacht. In Putrajaya itself, there will be auctions of luxury cars, including Bentley and Audi" [1].

Besides these large assets, e-commerce platform Shopee and several companies will auction unclaimed items starting at just RM1. Interested bidders must register and join the bidding two hours before each session begins. A bidding schedule will be displayed at the carnival venues [1, 2].

The carnival’s next major event is the auction in Johor and Melaka scheduled for July 2026 [1, 2].
