Negeri Sembilan will construct a new RM140 million Road Transport Department (JPJ/RTD) complex on the existing Senawang site under the 13th Malaysia Plan [1, 2]. To prepare, operations will move early next year to a temporary office at Era Walk Terminal 2 in Seremban before demolishing the current Senawang building and starting construction [1, 2].
The temporary RTD office renovation at Era Walk Terminal 2 is expected to take six to eight months and offers ample parking facilities [1]. The project to build the new complex will be led by the Public Works Department (PWD) [1, 2].
Separately, the JPJ Nilai branch underwent a RM1.7 million renovation covering nearly 9,000 square feet, completed in under six months. It opened fully on June 8, 2026 [1, 2]. This branch is the fourth in Negeri Sembilan, joining Kuala Pilah, Jempol, and UTC Ampangan, with 24 staff transferred from JPJ Seremban [1, 2]. The Nilai branch operates from the ground floor of Block C in the Seremban City Council Nilai branch building [2].
The new JPJ complex in Senawang will feature modern digital facilities, including self-service kiosks, comfortable waiting areas, and disabled-friendly access [1]. The Nilai branch serves about 120,000 residents, including nearby Bangi, Putrajaya, Bandar Baru Sendayan, Salak Tinggi, and Sepang [1].
Construction on the Nilai JPJ branch renovation began December 17, 2025, and finished June 8, 2026 [2]. The JPJ operations relocation to the temporary office at Era Walk Terminal 2 is slated for early 2027 ahead of the new Senawang complex construction [1, 2].
