Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was invited by a child from Taska As Sakeenah to attend Little Entrepreneurs Day at a nursery in Subang Jaya, Selangor on August 22, 2026. However, he was unable to attend because he was leading Malaysia’s delegation at the 27th Annual Leaders' Consultations (ALC-27) in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, held from August 21 to 22, 2026 [1, 2, 3].
Instead, Anwar sent an officer named Brother Raimi Ab Rahim as his representative to the event. Raimi delivered a small contribution and conveyed the Prime Minister’s warm greetings to the participating children and organizers [1, 2, 3].
Anwar expressed hope that the event would provide a meaningful experience and help instill an early interest in business and entrepreneurship among children. He encouraged young participants to save any profits they might earn. “Hopefully this Little Entrepreneurs Day will provide a meaningful experience and instill an interest in business among children from a young age. If you make a profit, don't forget to save,” Anwar said [1].
The Prime Minister also prayed that the children would grow into hardworking individuals who support their families and contribute positively to society. “I pray that these children will grow up to become hardworking individuals who will always help their families and contribute to society,” he added [3].
Anwar acknowledged his regret at not being able to attend in person. “I really wanted to come and support, but I am in Brunei Darussalam leading the national delegation,” he said [1].
The Little Entrepreneurs Day event took place as Anwar attended the ALC-27 meeting aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between Malaysia and Brunei [1, 2, 3]. Brother Raimi’s presence ensured the Prime Minister’s support for early entrepreneurship education was visibly represented at the event.
