A married couple from Taman Kota Masai, Pasir Gudang, Muhammad Firdaus Muhamad Bustaman (24) and Siti Nur Aisyah Anoor Beet Babjan Kahar (23), were killed in a three-vehicle accident at Km19, Jalan Endau-Mersing on the afternoon of May 31, 2026 [1, 2].

The couple was traveling towards Mersing in a Perodua Myvi when the driver lost control on the rain-soaked road, veered into the opposite lane, and collided with a Toyota Innova and a Chery Omoda, according to Superintendent Abdul Razak Abdullah Sani. He said, “It was raining heavily at that time” when the crash occurred [2].

The Toyota Innova driver suffered a fractured right toe, and his wife sustained minor injuries. The 75-year-old driver of the Chery Omoda was uninjured [1, 2]. The victims in the Perodua Myvi sustained severe injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene [1, 2].

Rescue teams from the Endau Fire and Rescue Station used special equipment to extricate the deceased from the damaged Perodua Myvi [1, 2]. Police received reports of the accident at 17:10 local time on the same day [1, 2].

Authorities are investigating the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 [1, 2].
