100,000 Young Malaysians Get Three Months Free Access to ILMUchat Pro AI Assistant

Malaysia has launched a program offering 100,000 young citizens free access to ILMUchat Pro, a paid AI assistant subscription, for three months starting August 31, 2026, to celebrate the 69th Independence Day ^{[1, 2, 3, 4]}. The offer targets Malaysians aged 18 to 30 who must complete designated AI learning modules on the Rakyat Digital platform to qualify ^{[1, 2, 3, 4]}.

ILMUchat Pro, developed by YTL AI Labs, normally costs RM50 per month. It supports seamless language switching between Bahasa Malaysia, English, Chinese, and Manglish, reflecting Malaysian language use ^{[1, 2, 3, 4]}. The AI assistant helps with a variety of tasks including drafting emails, locating local services, creating graphics, making presentations, and building app prototypes without coding ^{[1, 2, 3, 4]}.

The AI offers increased query limits for important matters such as PTPTN loan repayments, SME grant applications, and job applications ^{[1, 2, 3, 4]}. To redeem the free subscription, eligible users must log in to their Rakyat Digital account, complete the required courses, select ILMUchat Pro on their dashboard, and activate access with their MyDigital ID ^{[1, 2, 3, 4]}.

The initiative is part of the Ministry of Digital's AI Untuk Rakyat program, in partnership with YTL AI Labs and MyDIGITAL Corporation, under the National AI Action Plan 2026–2030 launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in July 2026 in Cyberjaya ^{[1, 2, 3, 4]}. Anwar announced the program at the AI Malaysia launch event as a step toward empowering Malaysians through AI technology ^{[1, 2, 3, 4]}.
