Pop Mart opened its first Pop Bakery in Southeast Asia on July 30, 2026, located on the second floor of a new two-storey Pop Mart store at Resorts World Sentosa, opposite Universal Studios Singapore [1, 2, 3]. The bakery seats around 40 guests and offers about 45 toy-inspired pastries and beverages priced between S$5 and S$32 [2, 3].

Pop Bakery features character-themed desserts inspired by Pop Mart’s intellectual property, including Singapore-exclusive items such as the Twinkle Twinkle Coconut Mousse and the Pucky Xiao Long Bao Dessert, each priced at S$18 [1, 2]. Other offerings include Labubu Butter Cookies (S$32), Crybaby Strawberry White Chocolate (S$18), and Twinkle Twinkle Twin Popsicles (S$15) [1, 2]. Pastry chef Sherie Quek and her team designed the Instagram-worthy dessert menu [2].

The bakery concept originated in China, with Pop Mart’s first Pop Bakery opening in Qinhuangdao in April 2026. Before the Singapore launch, the company tested over 30 mobile dessert kiosks across China [2, 3].

Zhang Xiaoyang, head of Pop Bakery at Pop Mart, said Singapore is "an important hub in the Asia-Pacific region and one of the most international markets in Southeast Asia. As a major travel destination, Singapore also gives us the opportunity to connect not only with local consumers, but with visitors" [1]. He added the company is considering expansion to Europe and the United States but must address local supply chains first [3].

Pop Mart views the bakery as a way to diversify beyond toy manufacturing and extend its intellectual property into food and lifestyle experiences. Laura Pan, lecturer at SDA Bocconi School of Management, said "Pop bakery is a great diversification tool because there’s only so much a toy company can do, and they’ve probably hit the ceiling with toy manufacturing" [3].

Pop Mart plans to expand Pop Bakery throughout Southeast Asia, targeting countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia [3].
