We never had anything to complain about regarding the passion and commitment of those guys. But we had to provide a foundation, to establish organisation" [1].
Curacao secured World Cup qualification by topping their group with a strong qualifying record: 7 wins, no losses, and 3 draws, scoring 28 goals while conceding only 5 [3, 4, 5]. Their final qualifying match was a goalless draw away at Jamaica in November 2025 that sealed their place [1, 2]. They currently hold the 82nd position in FIFA's rankings entering the tournament [3, 4, 5].
Despite the team's success, Advocaat acknowledged the difficult challenge ahead in Group E. "We have proven that we are difficult to beat. But the opponents in this group are of a different quality, of course. We know it will be very difficult, but nothing is impossible," he said [2]. Germany, a four-time World Cup champion, face injury and midfield problems as they prepare for the competition [3, 4, 5].
