Boox announced the Go 6 (Gen II), a new version of its 6-inch Go 6 e-reader equipped with stylus support for note-taking and sketching. The device features a 300 PPI E Ink display and runs on Android 11, allowing users to install Google Play Store apps directly on the device [1, 2].
The Go 6 (Gen II) upgrades RAM to 3GB, up from 2GB in the previous model, and includes 32GB of internal storage with a microSD slot for memory expansion [1, 2]. The e-reader supports the Boox InkSense Plus stylus, which enables annotating books, underlining passages, and capturing handwritten notes and to-do lists using the native note-taking app [1, 2].
Boox priced the Go 6 (Gen II) at approximately $200, with the InkSense Plus stylus sold separately for about $46. The stylus can also be bundled with the device; however, sources differ on the total bundle price, listing it between $233 and $245 [1, 2].
The device is lightweight, weighing just over five ounces, and features a slim form factor available in four new color options [2]. It includes an adjustable front light with color temperature control, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and a 1500mAh battery [1, 2].
Shipments of the Go 6 (Gen II) began on June 17, 2023 [1, 2].
