Meta introduced a new AI creator assistant on Facebook that provides personalized recommendations based on creators' content style, performance, community, and goals. The assistant launched in June and is currently available to creators in the US, Canada, and India, with plans to expand to more countries [1, 2].

The AI assistant answers creators’ questions conversationally on topics such as when to post, audience shifts, and why some content outperforms others. Meta explained, "Rather than analyzing a bunch of different dashboards and charts, creators can simply go to their dashboard on Facebook and ask creator assistant the questions they want answered, like why a particular reel outperformed the rest, or how their audience has shifted over time. Creator assistant is conversational, so they can keep asking follow-up questions to dig deeper" [2].

Creators can also use the assistant to brainstorm new content ideas by leveraging trending topics and viral trends on Facebook, aiming to improve engagement and relevance [1, 2].

In addition to the AI assistant, Meta last year launched AI-powered language translations for Facebook videos in Arabic, Bahasa Indonesian, French, Thai, and Vietnamese. These translations preserve tone and lip-sync, boosting accessibility. Over 500 million Facebook users watch AI-translated videos weekly [1].

However, the AI assistant's access to creators' account data has raised privacy and security concerns. Similar AI tools from Meta were reportedly hacked shortly after release, prompting caution among some creators [2].

Meta first announced the creator assistant rollout on June 4, 2026. The roll out began later that month for US, Canada, and India creators [1, 2]. The company plans to extend availability to additional countries in the near future.
