Microsoft introduced the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box, a miniature desktop PC tailored for AI development and sustained AI workloads, at its Build conference on May 23, 2026 [1]. The Surface RTX Spark Dev Box is considered a successor to Qualcomm's canceled Snapdragon Dev Kit [2]. It is aimed at developers who need high-performance AI hardware in a compact form factor.
