Marvel's Spider-Man 2, originally released in 2023 to critical acclaim, will get a free update adding the Brand New Day suit on July 28, 2026, just before the film of the same name launches on July 31 [1, 2]. The new suit is a revised version inspired by Tom Holland's suit from Spider-Man: No Way Home and was designed following fan feedback to improve the original design [2].

The game already includes Spider-Man suits from previous MCU films as well as those worn by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in earlier Spider-Man movies [1]. Cade Onder noted the update marks the first new content added to the game in years and praised that it comes at no cost to players [2].

Separately, Insomniac Games confirmed Spider-Man will not appear in their upcoming Marvel's Wolverine game, set for release on September 15, 2026 [1, 2]. While there has been no official announcement, reports suggest a new Spider-Man 3 installment or a Venom spinoff could be in early development at Insomniac [1, 2].

The Brand New Day suit update arrives three days before the release of the Brand New Day film, providing fans a fresh in-game skin timed with Marvel’s movie launch [1]. The Wolverine game will follow on September 15, continuing Insomniac’s Marvel lineup without Spider-Man [1, 2].
